Our center is responsible for Mycobacteria-related testing which includes species identification, drug susceptibility test, and act as NTM referring center. The testing is under accordance with Taiwan Centers for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Welfare Mycobacteria Laboratory Operating Procedures and Surveillance. Our P2 laboratory assists clinicians in choosing appropriate antibiotics and managing dosing adjustments to minimize drug side-effects and toxicity which are common with the drugs used in either TB/NTM or MDR-TB cases.
