Introduction

We performed the first case of robotic radical prostatectomy in December 2005 and completed 4000 cases of robotic urology surgery until May 2024, including 3000 cases of robotic radical prostatectomy. Since 2007, we have grown a national reputation in the robotic treatment of prostate cancer care and have been leading the development of robotic urology surgery. 

In comparingour patients with other worldwide centers, we have the most transferring patients domestically and internationally, we have the most difficult patients, and we have more late stage patients.

In Taiwan, delay diagnosis of prostate cancer is a challenging public issue regarding men's health. Department of Urology in Taichung Veterans General Hospital is engaging the clinical study of clinical feature of Taiwanese men in benign prostate enlargement and prostate cancer in order to improve the diagnostic rate of early prostate cancer.
