Services and Features 

1. Comprehensive respiratory care in intermediate and intensive care units for pediatric and adult patients.
2. Interdisciplinary critical care in ICUs: physicians and respiratory therapists coordinate with the ICU team to provide interdisciplinary and comprehensive intensive care in each ICU.
3. Respiratory care before and after surgery: preoperative evaluation and breathing exercise as well as post-operative follow up are provided to reduce the risk of surgical complications.
4. Weaning of mechanical ventilator: a variety of weaning processes are performed tailored to the characteristics of individual patients and the ward to improve the weaning rate and safety.
5. Vertical long-term follow-up care: A vertically integrated respiratory care system which includes the Respiratory Care Center, regional hospitals or home care, and comprehensive follow-up care for chronic ventilator-dependent patients is provided.
6. Teaching and training: in-service education is provided for physicians and trainees to learn and practice in a proper environment.
7. A combination of information techniques and quality control has been developed to establish an ideal model of respiratory care.
