Yi-Hsing Chen is Chief of the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology at Taichung Veterans General Hospital (TCVGH). In addition, she is Associate Professor of Medicine at National Yang-Ming University, Taipei, Taiwan.

Dr Chen obtained her MD from China Medical University, Taichung, in 1991 and completed her postgraduate training at TCVGH Department of Internal Medicine, where she became Fellow in the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology. She then served for 1-year as Visiting Scientist at Johns Hopkins Asthma and Allergy Center, Baltimore, USA. In 2008, she attended the Harvard Macy Institute Program for Leading Innovations in Health Care and Education in Boston, USA. She earned her PhD from Tunghai University, Taichung, in 2009.

Dr Chen was Secretary-General of the Taiwan Rheumatology Association (TRA) for 6 years, and currently sits the Board of Directors. She Chairs the TRA Biologic Risk Management Plan Task Force and is also Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Immunology (Taiwan).

Dr Chen has been principal and co-investigator in more than 60 clinical trials and published more than 60 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, besides contributing numerous abstracts and authoring several medical textbook chapters.
