Hsin-Hua Chen is an Attending Physician in the Division of Allergy Immunology and Rheumatology at Taichung Veterans General Hospital (TCVGH), prior to which he was Attending Physician, then Director, at Pu-Li Veterans Hospital, Department of Internal Medicine, Pu-Li, Taiwan. Schooled at National Yang-Ming University (NMYU), Taipei, Taiwan, Dr Chen graduatied as an MD in 1996, following which he served Residencies at TCVGH and took a Master Degree from NMYU Institute of Hospital and Health Care Administration (2011) and PhD from the MNYU Institute of Public Health (2014). He currently holds a teaching post as Assistant Professor, at NMYU.

Dr Chen holds Board Certifications in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, and Allergy & Immunology, and is a member of the Taiwan Rheumatism Association and R.O.C Societies of Internal Medicine, Immunology, and Medical Ultrasound. His research interests include the pharmacology and safety of drugs used to treat autoimmune and other disorders, ultrasound diagnosis, and molecular pathology, about which he has authored or co-authored more than 50 papers in leading medical journals including Rheumatology, Medicine (Baltimore), Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Arthritis Research & Therapy, PLOS One, Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology, the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology, and the Journal of Medical Ultrasound.
