Cardiovascular disease is the second among the top ten causes of death in Taiwan, and closely related to people’s health and general well-being. Department of General Cardiology provides the most comprehensive medical treatment and care for hypertension, dyslipidemia, and other cardiovascular diseases. We are also responsible for the non-invasive studies of assessing cardiac function, including transthoracic echocardiography, tans-esophageal echocardiography, and peripheral vascular ultrasound. In addition to the traditional 2D, M-mode, and Doppler ultrasound, 3D echocardiography has been mastered to achieve high quality cardiac evaluation. Moreover, under the leadership of Chief Kuo-Yang Wang, an experienced and comprehensive medical team for pulmonary artery hypertension has been established to further benefit the patients of this rare disease.
