How to get a Covid-19 test?
 
Who can Apply?
  1. Those who are in quarantine but due to special reasons need to go out with the
          permission of the local health authority.
  2. Those who have to travel to a foreign country due to emergency.
  3. Those who need it as is requirement by the job.
  4. Businessmen from a foreign country on a short trip intending to shorten the
      home-isolation period.
  5. Students who intend to study abroad.
  6. Foreigners, people from China, Hong Kong, Macau who want to leave Taiwan.
  7. Family members of the above people.
  8. Others permitted by the Central Epidemic Command Center.

required

  1. Application form for a COVID-19 test (filled out on the site).
  2. ID (Household certificate, passport, alien resident certificate).
  3. Electronic air tickets, certificate or record of booking tickets.
  4. Documents supporting the application: Job-related documents (employee ID,
      employee certificate, working visa, announcement from the company requiring
      the test, itinerary in Taiwan, anti-covid-19 plan, etc.)

  5. Study-related documents (student ID, student visa, admission letter, etc.)
  6. Foreign passport or a permission to enter Taiwan.
  7. Household certificate or household registration transcription for family members.
  8. Permissions from the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control, local Health Bureau,
      etc.

Fee  1. Regular test: NT$ 5,000
 2. Expedited test:NT$ 7,000 
     (including costs for registration, diagnosis, test and report)       
  We take cash or credit cards issued by banks in Taiwan.

Making an
Appointment
One can make an appointment for 1. a regular test  2. an expedited test
       
   1. A regular test can be appointed online for a second-time visitor (24
       hours in advance:  http://bit.ly/reg2021online) or in person
       (10:00-11:30, 13:30-16:30, Monday - Friday).

   2. A first-time visitor needs to fill out the attached Registration Form. 
   3. Please make an appointment for an expedited test online
       (http://bit.ly/covid-19test2021reg-eng) and email required documents
       2 working days in advance for priority in taking a sample.

   4. Documents required must be available before an appointment
       can be completed and a sample be taken for the test.

   5. Please come before 9:00 am if an expedited test is needed, and after
       10:00 am for a regular test.

When and
where to
pick up
the report
 
  1. A certificate will be provided in Chinese and English for free. NT$ 200 for each
      extra copy for those who are covered by the National Health Insurance, NT$ 340
      for those who are not covered.
  2. Time  to pick up the report:  
      # 24 hours later for a regular test.
      # 16:30 on the same day for an expedited test.

  3. IDs required to pick up the report (plus the pick-up request provided by the                                          counter after payment )

Notes  1. RT-PCR virus nucleic acid detection method is used in this test.
 2. This service only provides an At-One’s-Own-Expense test. If you have other
     medical needs, please go to the outpatient or emergency department.
 3. The above practices are updated in accordance with the "Regulations on the   
     Opening of Some People's Application for Taking an At-One’s-Own-Expense
     Test of COVID-19" by Taiwan Centers for Disease Control.
