In order to learn from the successful development and application of the da Vinci Surgical System abroad, Dr. Chen-Chi Wang Director of the Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department and International Medical Service Center, led a team to participate in the annual Intuitive 360 symposium organized by Intuitive, a US-based company. The symposium served as a platform for hospitals across the United States to exchange experiences in robotic-arm-assisted surgery and discuss hospital operations. This year's conference took place from September 8, 2022, to September 10, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee, with over a thousand participants. It can be considered one of the largest symposiums dedicated to a single surgical equipment.
The focus of this annual conference was the evolution and emerging trends in da Vinci robotic-arm-assisted surgery worldwide. Intuitive, as the company responsible for the global data on da Vinci system usage, provided the most up-to-date and comprehensive reports on the utilization of this surgical robot, while ensuring patient privacy was not compromised.
