Introduction

There are many new developed medicines for cancer treatment in recent years, including biological agents, monoclonal antibodies and target therapies, which are so many kinds with wide range of prices from a full course of hundreds of thousands to millions of Taiwan dollars. However, there are also many details that patients and their families did not know, such as the treatment effect, the improvement of life quality or the extension of life expectancy. We can understand the minds of patients and their families when cancer is declared by doctors, except anger, frustration, anxiety and fear, they need to find more hope in the future treatment. We hear your voices!! In our department, we clearly and actively discuss with patients and their families about treatment details according to updated researches with our fully kinds and empathy. We do not encourage use of expensive drugs and always consider the treatment with best benefit for the patient before we started our treatment plan, so you can fully trust our professional to take care your health. We also welcome you to search the second opinion consultation in our department.

We also promote early combine care with social workers, psychologist and hospice team to enhance totally care, included body, mind and spirit.
