Evidence-Based Medicine center
In the past two decades, the term "evidence-based medicine" has been frequently heard. Medical treatment must have evidence, which is also a universally recognized principle. Taichung Veterans General Hospital has established an evidence-based medicine center to promote evidence-based medicine since January 2003. It is considered one of the first hospitals in the country to promote evidence-based medicine. It was also the first to break away from intra-hospital competitions to promote evidence-based medicine. The medical staff promotion qualification certification allows our medical staff to have knowledge and understanding of evidence-based medicine during the training process. It is the only evidence-based medicine center in the country with more than 400 empirical review topics (CAT). He has also achieved great results in empirical medicine competitions held by the National Medical Policy Association and various empirical societies.
Central task
1. Formulate policies on education and training, talent cultivation and knowledge translation for empirical medicine throughout the hospital.
2. Promote the clinical application of evidence-based medicine throughout the hospital.
3. Monitor the effectiveness of evidence-based application and education and training throughout the hospital, and conduct regular reviews and improvements.
