Overview
The Division of Chest Medicine, originally part of the Department of Internal Medicine at Taichung Veterans General Hospital, was established in 1982.
On August 1, 2024, the Department of Chest Medicine was officially founded through the integration of the former Chest Medicine Division and Respiratory Therapy Division.
Subspecialty Divisions
The Department is composed of five specialized divisions that provide comprehensive care in chest and respiratory diseases:

• Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy
• General Chest Medicine
• Pulmonary Immunology & Infectious Disease
• Thoracic Oncology
• Interventional Pulmonology
