Laser Center

【Nd-YAG Laser】λ: 532 , 1064nm
Nd-YAG Laser will emit energy in 2 different wavelengths. The long wave (1064nm) with higher thermal energy could penetrate into deeper skin layers to treat tattoos, and dermal pigmentation, i.e. nevus of Ota. The short wave (532nm) could be used to remove red-colored tattoos, freckles, solar lentigines, seborrheic keratosis. The cost of Nd-YAG Laser is cheaper. However it is easily to cause cutaneous bleeding and need to communicate with patient prior therapy.1

【 CO2 Laser】λ: 10600nm
There is tremendous amount of water content in skin and it will absorb the energy when CO2 Laser applied. This technique could utilize to treat epidermal nevus, syringoma, polyps, moles, senile lentigines, seborrheic keratosis, etc. It could also be used to remove facial wrinkles and the acne scar. However, the erythema and edema caused by CO2 Laser will last in average of 2 to 4 weeks, and a higher possibility to have pigmentation for those people with darker skin color.2

【IPL therapy】
This is a non-invasive technique and has been widely accept by general population. It will not cause inflammatory reaction when compared with other laser techniques. It could be used to treat freckles, telangiectasia, and wrinkles and shrink follicular orifices. After treatment, patients could live just as normal as without treatment. .

【Ruby Laser】λ: 694nm
It is the best one to remove pigmented lesions among all the lasers currently available. It is used to treat cafe au lait spots, nevus of Ota, Becker’s nevus, nevus zygometics. However, it will cost more due to the machine itself is more expensive and the maintenance fee is higher than other laser techniques. .

【Alexandrite】λ: 755nm
The thermal efficiency to the pigmented lesions is relatively low and it will not cause subcutaneous bleeding, less painful during treatment, and hardly have problem on scar or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation after treatment. This technique could be used to treat freckles, tattoos, and birthmarks. The thermal effect could damage the hair follicles and it is also being used to remove unwanted body hair permanently.
