This room is located on the seventh floor of the Second Medical Building. We encourage healthy infants to stay with their family members all the time after they are born. As for infants who need special observation, they will be put in the Observation Room for observation.In addition, we have also setup a Consultation Room for providing nursing guidance upon discharge. Our service items include neonatal vaccination, hearing exam and newborn screening and optional service items which include screening for congenital metabolic diseases, echocardiography, renal ultrasonography, cranial ultrasonography and allergy testing etc.. Our philosophy is to help every family learn how to take care of their babies. Nurses will teach mothers and their families about the skills of breastfeeding, infant bathing and umbilical cord care before the infants are taken back home. For mothers who need persistent assistance in breastfeeding, we will refer them to relevant breastfeeding support group. In addition, we will make telephone interviews with the mothers and their babies to provide subsequent care to them within 7 days and 1 month after they return home.
