Team Introduction
Our epilepsy monitoring unit is established in 2014, which is the first one in Mid-Taiwan. We had provided video-electroencephalography(EEG) exam for more than 150-200 cases each year until present. We could make more precise diagnoses for epilepsy diagnosis and medication adjustment, more comprehensive epilepsy preoperative evaluations, and actively manage the critical cases with nonconvulsive epilepticus.

Outstanding Achievements
  In addition to medical treatment, we also perform surgeries for refractory epilepsy and tumor-related cases. The team is composed of different professional fields, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, psychiatrists, psychologist, and the social workers. The management is tailored and personalized, based on comprehensive surveys and thorough planning.
We applied high-tech imaging navigation system, brain imaging fusion and processing, intra-operative electrocorticography, and awake surgery. In the past years, we had performed excision survey, corpuscallosotomy, neuromodulation, stereo-electroencephalography, and radiofrequency for different epilepsy patients. As the outstanding epilepsy center in the mid-Taiwan, our goal is not only lesion-removal, but also to preserve most of functions of the patients after surgery.
