Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine
This Department was formally opened in May, 2003 and has rapidly developed into a DOH-certified clinical training unit of Chinese medicine. The majority of patients have been those with geriatric, oncologic, immune and allergic disorders. The services we offer include consultation, taking pulse, acupuncture, cupping, prescription, and decoction of Chinese herb medicine and sending it at the appropriate time to the bedside, etc. With combined conference between this department and departments of western medicine and clinical consultation, the close contacts of Chinese and western medicine are increasing.
We have published scientific papers in international and local journals. The integration of Chinese and western medicine and development of new drugs are the missions of this Department, and we will move toward these goals.
